After what have been some of the wettest summer months on record and with a few days of sun ahead of us, everyone should be heading to the outdoor areas of their co-working spaces. Whether it’s for an early morning coffee meeting, a shaded area to perch all day or for team drinks at the end of the day, where better than a beautiful rooftop with a view.
We’ve been doing the rounds to find what we believe are the best rooftops at workspaces in London, all of which provide an excellent addition to already motivational spaces.
If you haven’t got as far as shortlisting buildings with roof terraces yet, why not check out our Neighbourhood Guides to see where you should be looking for your next office.
WeWork – Monument.
WeWork Monument is located at the edge of The City and features 10 floors of office space in an area that blends past and present. With iconic landmarks like the Monument and the Tower of London only steps away, a stroll through the neighbourhood is like traveling through time.
It also boasts some of London’s finest outdoor areas not only in the form of the large roof terrace overlooking the famous Monument but also with smaller balconies providing shaded areas to work and meet al fresco.
The Ministry – Southwark.
Ministry of Sound’s new co-working and members club is one of the most exciting and unique co-working spaces in London. Situated just 100 metres from the iconic Ministry of Sound nightclub, The Ministry is housed in a cavernous, converted Victorian warehouse that has been re-built from the ground up to the highest specification.
As a member of The Ministry you’ll have access to the top of the range gym and wellness suite as well as four floors of high-end office space accommodating hot-desking freelancers, start-ups and sizeable companies, working here won’t feel like working.
A beautiful terrace serviced by an incredible 70 metre bar makes this one of the coolest outdoor spaces in London. A perfect spot for a coffee, espresso martini or to partake in one of the many events hosted by The Minstry.
Runway East – Borough Market.
A very short walk from London Bridge station and two minutes away from Borough Market, Runway East boasts awesome workspace, a spacious roof terrace and a plenty of other amenities in one of the most sought after London locations.
Runway East is known for its tight community and where better to have events and drinks than their roof terrace.
The Argyll Club – South Kensington.
This iconic building at Michelin House, 81 Fulham Road boasts a unique workspace in the heart of Chelsea. Its name is given as it used to be the home to the Michelin Tyre Company and is now a base for a number of thriving businesses.
As with many Argyll Club workspaces, there are impressive, spacious lounge areas and this particular site has architectural points of interest throughout such as the stained glass windows and beautiful atrium.
The office has over 40 serviced offices, six meeting rooms and an executive business lounge but the most stunning feature is the impressive roof terrace where members can relax, work and entertain.
Pavilion – City.
Located right next to Cannon Street mainline and underground station, Pavilion City club and offices are located in the newly designed Cannon Green. Their iconic polished concrete staircase connects members to the well-designed facilities such as the bike store in the basement, the lively bar, private business lounges, meeting rooms and quirky rooftop pods.
The view from the gorgeous rooftop terrace gives you a new perspective on the City and the River Thames and needs to be seen to be believed.
